The effects wear off after 3-4 months in most people. Complications are very rare and reversible. Underarm sweating: effective at reducing excessive armpit sweating for 6-12 months in most people. There is a Medicare rebate for this service.

Sweating in other body sites: is often best treated by other means. In select cases botulinum toxin can be used,

Headaches: Many people see their neurologist for botulinum toxin treatment of migraines. People who suffer from frequent tension headaches may also benefit from lower doses injected into the frown muscles, forehead and hairline.
